ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Responsible for key parts of the Order to Cash lifecycle including management and oversight of Billing, Collections and Dispute Management functions
  • Drive the transition to a more integrated Order to Cash function to ultimately include additional key functions
  • Balance ownership of delivering excellent customer experience with the ongoing drive to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and other associated metrics through both management of day-to-day activities as well as oversight of targeted improvement initiatives
  • Develop and deploy a robust set of Order to Cash policies that combine customer-centricity with good financial practices
  • Safeguard the integrity of the order-entry and billing processes to ensure complete capture of revenue, accurate and timely billing
  • Coordinate with Finance/Treasury to set, manage, report, and analyze AR billing and collection targets
  • Manage dispute resolution escalations and work with respective department point of contacts to quickly resolve collection roadblocks
  • Develop a culture of quality, service excellence (for internal customers), flexibility and cost consciousness
  • Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for all O2C initiatives
  • Analyze collection processes and establishes best practices for all receivable types
  • Ensure appropriate training and knowledge transfer occurs across all relevant business processes

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline with MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience with 5 years in managerial role. Prior experience in the industrials sector is preferred with knowledge of construction contracts and project / service billing a clear advantage

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to manage, develop relationships and negotiate at all levels of management
  • Must be innovative, good communication, presentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to actively engage stakeholders, customers and staff to ensure processes are executed consistently
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will supervise 5-8 subordinate managers and a total of up to 100 direct reports in various roles.
