Job Description

As a fitness center assistant with Amery Fitness Center, you will provide fitness center attendees with instruction and assistance on safe use of provided equipment/services/classes to ensure positive customer outcomes, assist with or develop the implementation of group exercise classes, seminars/workshops and wellness services, and find creative ways to welcome new members to the fitness center.

Work Schedule:

  • 9 FTE/36 hours per week. Monday - Friday from 12 to 7 p.m.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Pool Operator is required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Exercise Science or related field.
  • Experience in personal training and/or teaching fitness classes such as yoga, step and body toning.
  • Certified strength and conditioning specialist or certified personal trainer by NSCA or A.T./A.T.C.
