Job Objective
The Recreational Therapy Manager is responsible for planning and implementing a varied program of therapeutic activities to meet individual psycho-social needs and goals of each resident in the facility. The programs are goal-oriented and in compliance with State and Federal Regulations while supporting the unique passions of each individual therapist.

Job Standards
  1. Graduate of an accredited college with a degree in Recreational Therapy or Related Field.
  2. Must understand the social, psychological and recreational needs of the elderly and accompanying types of disabilities, and must be capable of planning activities accordingly.
  3. Knowledge of administration and budgeting process.
  4. Able to work cooperatively with others as part of interdisciplinary care team.
  5. Able to perform all essential job functions without causing harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodations.
  6. Valid Wisconsin driver's license.
  7. Must have automobile available for securing and purchasing program supplies.
  8. Exhibit interest in continuous professional growth.
  9. Ability to promote socialization and cooperative relationships with residents, family, staff, and community.
  10. Ability to work independently.
  11. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  12. Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, as well as ability to work effectively and harmoniously with a variety of people.
  13. Demonstrated proof of time management skills; multi-tasking.
