Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager within our Aerospace & Defense business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for pursuing & closing sales opportunities within accounts in order to meet & exceed their assigned budget. You will also be responsible for prospecting & developing new business opportunities outside of your assigned list. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive mentality, be action oriented, customer focused, and have an entrepreneurial drive.

Responsibilities

* Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements; helps develop & negotiate proposals including terms and conditions
* Achieve sales goals by converting, retaining and penetrating assigned accounts
* Establish and proactively maintain a strong professional relationship with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts
* Drive new logos and re-engage with dormant accounts
* Gather and analyze market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to determine customer needs
* Follow up in a timely manner on quotations for the assigned customer base
* Build and maintain a working knowledge of Element's service offerings; participate in training/coaching opportunities

Skills / Qualifications

* 5+ years of technical and/or sales experience
* Business development experience with companies within the aerospace, defense, or other industrial applications
* Good communication, interpersonal and listening skills
* Professional, high standards in personal presentation
* Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time
