The Department of Anesthesiology is in search of a highly organized and collaborative Medical Program Assistant to join our team and support the administrative functions of the department. This role will serve as the primary point of contact and will be stationed at both the UWMF Centennial Building and UW Hospital Anesthesiology offices.
Under general supervision, the incumbent will provide administrative assistance to Anesthesiology faculty to advance their clinical, educational, research, and administrative objectives. Additionally, they will offer support to various Anesthesiology faculty leaders, including Associate Directors, Medical Directors, and Board Runners, among others.
This position requires managing confidential information and providing excellent customer service, a high level of professionalism is required.

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated strong organizational and interpersonal skills in interactions with UW Hospital staff, visitors, colleagues, patients, and their families.
- Familiarity with PC computers/Windows operating systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability of multitasking in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Maintains professionalism and delivers excellent customer service, adhering to institutional policies and procedures, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to handles sensitive issues with discretion and ensures confidentiality is maintained.
- Works effectively as a team member.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with community leaders, University faculty, physicians, diverse community partners, and local and state public health professionals.
This position is Monday through Friday and regular business hours.
Position may require earlier start or later end times depending on special events, meetings, needs of the department, etc.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
New employees will generally work onsite to meet other team members, make connections, and learn. Upon completion of 30 days working on site, and subsequent review and approval from their supervisor, a new employee would be eligible to work a hybrid schedule as outlined above.
