What You'll Do:

  • Utilize Lawson to efficiently process purchase orders for critical surgical supplies

  • Maintain detailed records of inventory levels and ensure timely re-ordering

What's Available:

  • Full time, 80 hours biweekly (1.0 FTE)

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday hours between 6:30am-3:30pm

  • Location: Onsite, Main Campus - La Crosse, WI

  • Starting pay of $20.22/hr and up, based on your relevant years of experience

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency

  • 2 years or more experience in supply chain, purchasing, or medical setting

  • Experience working in a healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology a plus!

  • The ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast paced environment

Job Description:

The Purchasing Assistant assists the Purchasing Manager, Sr. Buyers and Category Managers to perform a variety of purchasing functions including processing and expediting orders in a timely manner. The Purchasing Assistant maintains the Materials Management System in relation to Purchasing.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for processing/expediting orders, and/or purchasing orders for materials and services within area of responsibility.

2. Responsible for coordinating the return of material goods to suppliers as needed.

3. Maintains the Materials Management System based on standards determined by management.

4. Supports the Sr Buyers to communicate out of stock concerns, buyer message issues, assists with product substitution procurement, and other tasks as determined appropriate.

5. Assists in maintaining SOPS for the Purchasing Assistant work within the Purchasing Department to reflect current process and procedure.

6. Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested.

Education and Learning:

REQUIRED

High School Diploma or equivalency

DESIRED

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or two-year or higher education in related field

Work Experience:

REQUIRED

2 years or more experience in supply chain or related field

DESIRED

6 months or more experience in Lawson/Infor software
