Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized, award-winning professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth, and we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time process engineer. This position will work out of our West Allis (Milwaukee area) office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating process mechanical engineering designs (concept, preliminary, detailed)
  • Performing mass and energy balances
  • Performing hydraulic calculations and pump sizing
  • Performing equipment specification and proposal solicitation
  • Developing equipment layout drawings
  • Developing scopes of work and project specifications
  • Creating project schedules
  • Attending client meetings
  • Soliciting contractor bids
  • Conducting periodic construction site inspections
  • Performing onsite commissioning tasks
  • Travel will be required

The successful candidate must have all of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical, chemical or related degree
  • At least two years (3 years preferred) of relevant engineering design experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following:

  • Designing process systems for food processing facilities or other similar industrial/pharmaceutical facilities
  • Knowledge of hygienic design including clean-in-place
  • Three or more years of experience
  • Experience specifying pumps, valves, and instruments
  • AutoCAD drafting experience
  • Creating specification and project scope or work contract documents
  • Construction and/or commissioning experience
