Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized, award-winning professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth, and we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time process engineer. This position will work out of our West Allis (Milwaukee area) office.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating process mechanical engineering designs (concept, preliminary, detailed)
- Performing mass and energy balances
- Performing hydraulic calculations and pump sizing
- Performing equipment specification and proposal solicitation
- Developing equipment layout drawings
- Developing scopes of work and project specifications
- Creating project schedules
- Attending client meetings
- Soliciting contractor bids
- Conducting periodic construction site inspections
- Performing onsite commissioning tasks
- Travel will be required
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical, chemical or related degree
- At least two years (3 years preferred) of relevant engineering design experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following:
- Designing process systems for food processing facilities or other similar industrial/pharmaceutical facilities
- Knowledge of hygienic design including clean-in-place
- Three or more years of experience
- Experience specifying pumps, valves, and instruments
- AutoCAD drafting experience
- Creating specification and project scope or work contract documents
- Construction and/or commissioning experience
