Job Description:
The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with the sales team and customers to understand end user requirements, select equipment, design systems appropriate for the application, provide quote estimates, and manage projects throughout the project life cycle. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager of the PSF Division.
Responsibilities:
  • Review customer technical specifications
  • Selection of pump, valves and control equipment
  • Preparation of integrated system estimates & proposals
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and provide recommendations for customers
  • Present clear verbal and written technical explanations to customers
  • Make necessary engineering calculations to support product selection/recommendation
  • Ensure projects are completed on-time and within budget
  • Create engineered submittal documents by transferring design drawings and other technical documentation onto project specific title blocks
  • Use customer FTP project website to upload submittal documents and download returned documents
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Familiarity with CAD software a plus (AutoCAD Autodesk).
  • Knowledge of design, materials, and operational requirements of rotating equipment (pumps, seals, and valves) highly desired.
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work constructively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to resolve system design issues.
