What Rockwell Needs from You

We have an immediate hiring need for our tool and die repair technician on 2nd shift.

This is a 2nd Shift role (M-F, 3PM - 11PM) with a minimum rate (various depending on experience) of $19.47 per hour plus a 6% shift differential.

Job Summary:

Constructs, modifies, maintains, calibrates and repairs machine shop tools, dies, jigs and fixtures. Works with engineers and tool designers to develop and modify tools. Works from blueprints, specifications and diagrams. Checks work with precision instruments.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Maintain, lubricate, clean and repair plastic injection molding dies.

  • Repairs/machines production jigs and fixtures.

  • Repair or manufacture parts to maintain production tooling/molds.

  • Modify/Machine finished goods for production.

  • Confer with engineers, production, and others to resolve tooling related problems.

  • Select, align, and secure holding fixture, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, EDM's, lathes and grinders.

  • Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications.

SKILLS:

  • To read, understand and work from task list.

  • To recognize when a task needs to be done even if not yet scheduled to be.

  • Operate CNC mill, lathe, surface grinder.

  • Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • Ability to follow written or verbal directions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate.

  • Read printed materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Machine Tool background/degree (CNC mill, lathe, surface grinder)

Accepts Role Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs.

  • Self-Direction within Team Environment

  • Visual and Hand Dexterity

  • Sit and/or Stand for long periods

  • Responsible for utilizing proper safety equipment and following all safety procedures
