Work Schedule:

This is a full-time 100% FTE, day shift. You will work at University Hospital and the Public Service Commission (PSC) building in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Program Manager, Respiratory Therapist Apprenticeship (RT) to:

  • Supervise and provide academic and employee support to apprentices throughout the three-year RT program.
  • Collaborate, oversee, instruct, and facilitate clinical and didactic education for apprentices along with Madison College faculty.
  • Ensure apprentice outcomes align with national standards to receive Respiratory Therapy degree from Madison College.
  • Coordinate apprentices' schedules with UW Health RT department to enhance apprentices' success at UW Health.
  • Work with community partners to address wrap around support/service needs related to any social determinants.

Education:

Minimum - Bachelor's degree in applied science in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution or related field.

Preferred - Master's degree.

Work Experience:

Minimum - Two (2) years or 4,000 hours of Respiratory Therapy work experience, including instructional experience in the classroom or clinical setting.

Preferred - Four (4) years of experience as RT educator including instructional experience in the formal classroom or clinical setting.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ACLS and PALS within six (6) months of employment.

Preferred - Certified in NRP.
