Job Summary:

Providers oversight, planning, consultation, coordination, and implementation leadership for the Froedtert Lab Information Systems team. Collaborates with Information Technology and Lab Operational Leadership a service line IT roadmap, while mobilizing staff resources and balancing application team resource allocation. This leadership role is expected to be knowledgeable in general areas of lab outreach, instrumentation, and lab operations, while managing a team responsible for applications that support these lines of business. Oversee and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team in addition to project responsibilities. Bridge between IT process management and lab roadmap requests. Responsible operating and capital expense budgeting and contracting associated with supported systems. Facilitates strategic planning to drive performance enhancement with a goal of continuous quality improvement and applies appropriate measures to ensure data integrity, security, high availability, and system redundancy.


EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

Minimum of 5 years work experience in clinical application support, healthcare technology, or project management is required.

Healthcare experience is preferred. EPIC experience is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelor's Degree in Clinical discipline, Computer Science or Healthcare related field or acquired through a combination of education and experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Informatics, Technical Management, or a related field is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Highly effective interpersonal skills. Proven management skills. In-depth knowledge of medical imaging technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Effective problem solving and communication skills preferred. Understanding of IT application, infrastructure, and security requirements preferred. Ability to manage multiple complex projects/issues effectively preferred. Strong leadership skills that creates and environment of trust, motivation and innovation preferred.
