Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting Buyers, Subcontract Managers and Purchasing Manager as required. Provide customer service to internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reconciling problem invoices and prepare documentation for progress payments
  • Expediting -- contact vendors to determine delivery status of material and software deliverables
  • Submit software deliverables to various departments
  • Create and maintain purchase orders
  • Prepare and process request for quotes
  • Prepare correspondence as required
  • Internally Communicate with:
    • Warehouse Personnel -- receiving/inventory discrepancies, shippers, procurement inspection reports (Daily interaction)
    • Program Managers -- approval signatures and material status (Daily interaction)
    • Engineering -- technical assistance, approval/disapproval on deliverables (Daily interaction)
    • Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) -- provisioning and technical manual submittals (Weekly interaction)
    • Manufacturing -- material ordering/expediting (Daily interaction)
    • Finance -- invoice reconciliation (Daily interaction)
    • Planning -- parts and schedule information (Daily interaction)
  • Other duties as required
