HVAC Service Technician

Job Description
Responsibilities / Duties:
Requirements:
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install residential and commercial HVAC systems and related equipment.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Check and verify operation of complete system before leaving the jobsite to minimize callbacks.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
- Develop an understanding of the MPM portfolio, inventory, and SOP’s
- Communicate with the Property Management team to ensure that property residents and owners are kept in the loop on applicable maintenance projects
- Complete work-order reports thoroughly
- Handle and document inventory appropriately
- Understand the general facets of property management
- Complete work orders and handle inventory
- Interact professionally with residents, office staff, and vendors as needed
Requirements:
- Three (3) plus years of experience exhibiting a knowledge of the installation, repair, and service of residential and commercial HVAC equipment.
- EPA Certification
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read wiring schematics and mechanical plans.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders & scaffolds, access rooftops, and enter restricted areas.
- Driver's license and insured personal vehicle for daily use (MPM pays mileage).
- Live within a 30 miles radius of downtown Madison, WI
- Comfortable using computers and smart phones preferred
