Work Schedule:

This is a full time 1.0 FTE position. Scheduled hours are between 11:00pm - 7:00am. Rotating days off, rotating weekend and rotating holidays are required. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.

Pay:

  • You may be eligible for up to a $5000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).
  • For evening/night positions - after 6:00 pm you will earn an additional $3.00/hr.
  • On Saturday and Sunday, you will earn an additional $2.25/hr.

We are seeking a Senior Security Officer to:

  • Act as an Officer in Charge and respond to leaders across UW Health by overseeing day to day operations of the shift in the absence of a Supervisor.
  • Properly document daily activities and incident reports, using computer software programs.
  • Serve as a positive example and provide consistent training, coaching, and evaluation of new officers as part of the department's field training program.
  • Monitor and operate access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.

Education:

Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred - Bachelor's Degree.

Work Experience:

Minimum - 18 months UW Health Security Officer or comparable experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - IAHSS Basic Certification and Completion of IAHSS Advanced Certification within 6 months of hire (employer paid).

Valid Driver's License and completion of IAHSS Basic Certification within six months of hire.

  • Ability to be insured by Hospital's risk management insurer which requires (1) a valid Wisconsin Driver's License, (2) successfully passing a driving background check (3) must be 21 years of age.
