Work Location: In Office, Hartland, WI

Compensation: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller is to provide overall leadership of the accounting function with a focus on accurate financial reporting and analysis, maintenance of strong internal controls, and coordination of financial planning efforts for the company. The position will regularly work with operations leaders, the executive team and company owners to analyze trends, anticipate issues, and develop solutions to problems or challenges that arise in the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

Honoring Commitments:

  • Uphold accounting processes and internal control procedures across the organization to guarantee accuracy, transparency, and dependability in our financial practices.

  • Ensure the consolidation and reporting of monthly financial statements are completed timely and accurately, fulfilling our obligations to stakeholders with the utmost reliability.

Creating Positive Experiences:

  • Coordinate periodic business planning initiatives, offering critical financial and operational insights to senior management and ownership to aid in strategic planning and positive organizational growth.

  • Manage interactions with external auditors and oversee compliance with state and federal reporting requirements, facilitating a seamless and constructive experience for all parties involved.

Fostering Lifelong Learning:

  • Mentor and develop the accounting team, emphasizing the importance of professional growth and learning within the finance department to enhance overall expertise and performance.

Exhibiting Pioneering Spirit:

  • Oversee the monthly debt covenant compliance process and borrowing base reporting, approaching challenges with innovative solutions and a strategic mindset to optimize financial health and risk management.

  • Coordinate internal audit projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Demonstrating Good Stewardship:

  • Oversight over the organization's financial resources, ensuring decisions and strategies are executed with the highest level of efficiency, care, and accountability.

  • Lead by example in managing additional duties as assigned, showcasing a dedication to the organization's values and its sustained success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required

  • CPA, CMA, MBA or public accounting experience preferred

  • Ten or more years of accounting management experience is required.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to get involved in details, required

  • Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on team development, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and professional advancement.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
