In this role you will be responsible for Supply Planning and Procurement at ABB Drive Products in New Berlin, WI. Here, you will be a key member of the Operations organization. Reporting to the Procurement Group Lead, you will manage short-to midterm material availability by working closely with suppliers as well as sourcing, master planning, production scheduling, logistics, quality, and production teams.

Your responsibilities

  • Secure material availability by proactively managing supply network in line with local category strategies.
  • Manage supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time), resolve performance issues through corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Building, maintaining, and managing supplier relationships and uphold good communications.
  • Align incoming supply with production demand in terms of delivery, content and quality through open order analysis, rescheduling, and master data management.
  • Optimize ITO and NWC by negotiating and managing stocking agreements and master data management.
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement with internal stakeholders to optimize MRP strategies and parameters (planning strategy, lot size, safety stock, reorder point, rescheduling logic).
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on inventory status, delivery schedules and potential issues.
Your background

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations and 5 years of relevant experience OR Associate degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant experience required
  • Proficiency in using SAP or other ERP software as well as MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Strong data analytics with Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills in a multicultural, global business environment.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
