Responsible for all procurement transactions and serves as primary point of contact for departments as assigned. Purchases assigned commodities of supplies, equipment and services in accordance with established policies and procedures. Recommends vendor selection and maintains contact with vendors and Children's Hospital of WI staff to identify purchasing needs and sources. Collaborates with Strategic Sourcing and Value Analysis teams on identification of cost savings initiatives.

  • Requires high school education or equivalent.

  • Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.

  • Requires two or more years of supply chain related experience in a fast-paced office environment.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills necessary to coordinate work with other Supply Chain staff, as well as with customer department staff. Must have the ability to interact effectively with CHHS leaders, staff, physicians and sales representatives.

  • Experience in active use and maintenance of a Materials Management Information System (MMIS) is strongly preferred.

  • Additional preference for PeopleSoft and/or client-server or web-based MMIS experience.

  • Must possess a strong sense of personal accountability, service orientation, and a sensitivity and responsiveness to the requests of user departments.

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Windows based software to include Outlook, Excel and Word experience.
