Responsibilities:

Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities include:

• Ensure product safety through enforcement of company policy and regulatory standards.
• Enforce company quality standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs on all plant electrical systems in conformance with established codes.
• Assist with other mechanical maintenance and construction jobs as directed.
• Assist in the ordering and maintenance of adequate electrical supplies and parts to sustain continuous plant operation.
• Advise supervisor of electrical hazards and impending electrical problems.
• Maintain good housekeeping habits.
• Assist with the planning and lay out and installation of complex wiring circuits and distribution centers in conformance with established codes; install switches and controls, central and subsidiary control panels, and other gear incidental to the installation.
• Understand and use all required electrical measuring and testing devices.
• Promote, monitor, and ensure compliance with plant and department safety policies.
• Work from a general assignment and complete project with minimal direction, while reporting directly to the Utility Shift Supervisor and Production Supervisor
• During the production season the incumbent reports directly to the Production Supervisor and/or Shift Supervisor on that shift
• Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities includes ensuring product safety through enforcement of company policy and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Post high school electrical training or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and read electrical schematics.
• The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years' hands-on electrical food manufacturing experience.
• PLC experience strongly preferred, but not required.
• Working knowledge of NEC/National Electric Code.
• Must provide assortment of own tools to perform assigned tasks.
• Workable knowledge with a wide variety of tools
• Good written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
• Computer experience helpful, math skills preferred.
• Capable of passing specified electrical classes as determined by the company.
