Job Description
We’re in search of individuals with technical capabilities, creativity and the ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical components.

The Service Technician assembles precision machinery and automation systems by using engineering documentation, blueprints, schematics, and other drawings. 
This mechanical and electrical assembly process includes machine alignment checks and completing final runoff audits once the machine has been powered up. 
This position is also responsible for service and warranty issues and is required to travel (domestically and internationally) at times on short notice, on average of 30%.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assemble machines and automation electronically using engineering documentation
  • Start-up machines and troubleshoot all functions
  • Participate in machine runoff and customer training
  • Perform field installation of equipment
  • Provide warranty service both domestically and internationally
  • Perform triage via phone to solve customer’s issues remotely before dispatch
  • Provide documentation on service cases utilizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Additional Software Functions (will train)
    • Program PLC and HMI (Siemens)
    • CNC Programming (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain)
    • Robot programming and setup (Fanuc)
    • Industrial networking – Ethernet, Profibus, etc.
    • Industrial control system standards for USA and other countries
    • Configure drives, network communications and other intelligent machine devices
    • Load machine programs and commission machines
    • Modify programs as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Associates degree in electrical technology OR similar structured training program
  • Experience with industrial equipment, machine tools and automation
  • Experience with precision measurements, machine alignments and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Attention to detail and a desire to maintain high standards of workmanship
  • Flexibility - willingness to perform various job functions as needed to finish projects, work overtime hours when required and travel up to 30% domestically and internationally occasionally with limited notice
  • Valid US Passport and driver's license

PHYSICAL REEQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds unassisted.  Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds unassisted.  Regular use of overhead cranes for lifts greater than 50 pounds.
  • Regularly stands for 8 hours.
  • Regularly bends, stoops, reaches and moves.
  • Regularly exerts up to 10 pounds of force and frequently exerts up to 25 pounds of force to move objects.
  • Constantly required to correctly follow written and verbal instructions/prints requiring concentration and mental capability.
  • Regularly utilizes precise, coordinated hand movement and hand/eye coordination.
  • Regularly uses close focus and depth perception.
  • The nature of the work involves contact with various metals and oils.
  • Work environment is bright and temperature controlled.
