Working as a Director, you will be a key member of the marketing and sales team in Motion Service (MOSE), defining marketing plans, including marketing communication, training and sales initiatives. Our mission is to simplify, price and market the Modernization service portfolio of the US (United States) Motion (Industrial Motors & Drives) Services business. We are committed to playing a pivotal role in shaping the business strategy by translating market demands into an engaging portfolio. We take charge of planning and evolving our portfolio to cater to the unique needs of the local markets under our preview. To ensure offering effectiveness, we closely collaborate with Global Product Management, Global Marketing, internal ABB business units and US MOSE colleagues, aligning our effort with the broader goals of the Motion Service division.

This position reports to

Local Division Manager, MOSE

Your responsibilities

  • Services Strategy: Lead the annual update to the Strategic Plan in collaboration with the leadership team, focused on creating value for the organization and its stakeholders to increase market (installed base) penetration
  • Contribute to Mergers & Acquisitions partnership activities, aligning local activities to current business strategy
  • Marketing Plan: Analyze and track market trends, innovation and customer requirements related to the service business and determine competitive attributes, prioritization and value proposition
  • Create the annual marketing plan in coordination with key stakeholders, importantly Communications, setting specific marketing goals and marketing strategies aligned with business targets
  • Portfolio management: Manage Modernization service portfolio within the local business unit, throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead price sensitivity and realization analysis. Deploy pricing strategy
  • People leadership and development: Leads the US Modernization Offer Management team. Ensure (with HR Manager support) that the team is properly organized, staffed and skilled. Guides, motivates and develops direct subordinates within HR (Human Resource) policies
Your background

  • Bachelor degree and 15 years of professional experience in marketing or product management required
  • In depth knowledge of transactional and agreement-based services required
  • Travel up to 50% required
  • Experience with industrial markets, field services, factory repair, parts and projects are desired but not a requirement
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
