Description

ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures one of the most comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. The ACS Group maintains an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, heat exchangers (mold temperature control units and chillers), drying systems, and presses. ACS Group has manufacturing facilities in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Wabash, Indiana with a third facility located in Suzhou, China to handle the needs of the Asian market.

We have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced, entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to join our team. The selected candidate will lead the strategic efforts to grow profitable revenue in aftermarket parts sales as well as service products (start-up services, maintenance plans, service contracts, etc.). This role is vital to our growth strategy for the ACS portfolio of brands and businesses.

You will be responsible for strategy development, service product development, as well as recommending the technology and organizational structure to accelerate growth in these very profitable business segments. You will be will be fully responsible for - and accountable to - meeting or exceeding ACS' revenue growth targets, maintaining or growing market share and expanding margin in the aftermarket and service categories.

This position reports to the VP - Marketing and Product Management, with frequent direct oversight of the Executive Leadership Team.


A successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Development of a comprehensive Aftermarket and Service growth strategy.
  • Utilizing best practices in ecommerce, digital marketing, CRM, and sales/channel management
  • Conduct comprehensive and detailed competitive market analysis, identifying competitive threats and developing mitigation actions as countermeasures.
  • Prospect, develop and close business with new and existing customers.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets for both Aftermarket and Service.
  • Regularly travel to perform customer consultations to determine needs and solutions and obtain VOC used to identify new products and services. Travel up to 50%.
  • Prepare and give value-based technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work and the impact to their facilities.
  • Work with the customers and Engineers, Plant Managers, and Maintenance Teams to ensure the ACS products and service meet their needs.
  • Communicate and train the ACS sales channel to equip them to sell Aftermarket and Service.
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.
  • Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands.
  • Help customers solve their productivity challenges.
  • Recommend new and improved aftermarket and service products to our customers and explain how their facilities will be cost-effective.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate will be proactive, dedicated, and possess these basic requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Marketing. MBA desired.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset approach to drive category growth.
  • Demonstrated experience using ecommerce, CRM, and digital marketing to drive business growth.
  • 8+ years Sales, Marketing, Product Management or other relevant experience in a technical B2B company
  • Confidence presenting to and persuading plant-level manufacturing customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage pivotal relationships with stakeholders and leaders across the organization.
  • Proven results identifying business opportunities and a track record as a deal closer in highly technical sales markets.
  • Significant personal motivation, goal orientation, diligence, and attention to detail. Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience networking and building relationships with clients, customers and suppliers.
  • Plastics industry product experience is a plus.
