At Nuss Truck & Equipment our Shipping & Inventory staff verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. This position will work 6:30a - 3p, Monday - Friday.

Job Duties Include:

• Count, weigh, or measure items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
• Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from trucks for the shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Check-in dirty cores and ship dirty cores.
• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
• May train and oversee the work of apprentices/interns as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Some previous customer service experience
• One year of experience in a dealership position preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in English
• Ability to use a computer and calculator
• Ability to be trained on the computer inventory system
• Ability to drive and operate a forklift
• Professional personal appearance

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

• This is a physically demanding position.
• Will lift and transport parts weighing up to and/or exceeding 70 pounds on an as needed basis.
• Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, etc.
• Will be required to wear dealership provided uniforms at all times.
• May operate a forklift.
