Job Description
Self-starter Quality Engineer able to research and resolve issues, multi-task, and well organized, developing, recommending, and implementing enhancements to the quality management system to improve product and process quality.

* Support manufacturing operations by managing quality control plans and operational improvement efforts ensuring a safe, high quality, and high-performance working environment.
* Develop, recommend, and implement enhancements to the quality management system that improve product and process quality.
* Ensure compliance through Validation and Verification. Responsible for determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution, final analysis, and acceptance.
* Coordinate and collaborate with R&D and Operations the management of changes and implementation in the operations process including but not limited to specifications update, control plans design or modification, equipment procurement, records and forms issue and maintain.
* Lead multi- disciplinary/ department problem-solving teams to resolve process, design, method, tooling, equipment, and product quality issues utilizing tools such as Pareto Charts, 5 Whys, FMEA, 8 D's Report, Fishbone, DMAIC among others.
* Manage all quality performance evaluation equipment and tools such as Infinity QS, CMM, gages. Develop monitoring plan to ensure accurate data collection.
* Complete gage R & R on regular basis and take appropriate actions to improve quality of the data.
* Develop, implement, and maintain Process capability Surveillance Program for all manufacturing lines.
* Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
* Determine internal quality metrics for all manufacturing areas.
* Lead along with Operations efforts of Continuous Improvement focus but not limited on scrap reduction applying PDCA methodology.
* Investigate internal and external non conformances using RCA tools and provide CAPA plans.
* Collect nonconformance data, analyze and create statistical reports on regular basis.
* Review nonconformance material and determine disposition.
* Develop and maintain quality control measures and procedures.
* Provide direct support to Quality personnel regarding operation of the department and Quality System.
* Assist operations with floor-level decision making, development of work processes and tools.
* Coordinate and complete quality training to all operations employees.

Who you are
* Bachelor's Degree desired, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or other closely related Technical Field)
* Preferring 5-10 years Manufacturing experience; packaging in food or foodservice experience is a plus
* Experience with Thermoforming, Extrusion, and/or Paper Converting (Printing, Cutting or Forming) is strongly desired.
* Understanding of relational database concepts and experience with analytical tools such as Access, Excel, Minitab, or others
* Comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite (ex: Word, Power Point)
* Proven analytic & problem-solving skills with a demonstrated focus on leveraging and expanding
* Self-starter and team player, ability to manage multiple projects and areas of responsibility.
* Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
* Creative, practical, and innovative abilities are preferred.
* Highly organized and detail oriented with Project Management experience a plus
* Strong interpersonal skills and needs to interact within cross functional teams
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
* SAP (or other ERP) experiences a plus
* 3D CAD Experience (SolidWorks) or experience with Packaging programs is a plus
* Able to adapt and balance stressful situations in a high paced environment
