HARIBO's brand new gummi factory is growing! We are adding an Industrial Engineering Manager to establish and champion a data-driven plant performance management process and culture. Reporting to the Plant Director, the Industrial Engineering Manager will lead operational improvements for HARIBO's new state-of-the-art food manufacturing plant in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (Kenosha area in southeastern Wisconsin).

As an individual contributor, the Industrial Engineering Manager will create industrial engineering capabilities in the plant to find ways to eliminate wastefulness in the production process by devising efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, material, information and energy to make our world famous gummi candy products.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead all aspects of the Industrial Engineering functions in Manufacturing, including preparing budgets, estimate project costs, ramp-up time frames, materials planning, and staffing
  • Optimize complex processes and systems to minimize rework and waste
  • Lead project schedules, budget adherence, and communications with all stakeholders
  • Empower team members to create a healthy and inspiring work environment with open communication by listening to feedback and resolving any issues or conflicts
  • Analyze impacts of new business affecting the site, including feasibility, conversion costs, capital impact
  • Own the capital budgeting process for the Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin facility
  • Supports the utilization of Lean Manufacturing
  • Undertaking spatial utilization and work-flow studies

Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in in an Industrial Engineering, or similar type of role, in thefood manufacturing, food processing, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering specialty
  • Demonstrated high-level of proficiency in in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience building a continuous improvement culture that is people-centric
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Strong leadership ability and the demonstrated ability to influence with data
  • Comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization including senior leadership
