Work Schedule:

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position. Shifts will be scheduled Monday through Friday during daytime hours with rotating manager on-call responsibilities and 10% staffing as a clinical pharmacist.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Manager - Sterile Products Operations to:

  • Advance UW Health's pharmacy practice model and define the roles/practice standards of pharmacists, technicians, residents, and students.
  • Manage IV cleanroom operations, sterile compounding training, education, operations, and compliance.
  • Responsible for USP 797 and 800 standard pertaining to IV preparation technology with Board Certification in Sterile Compounding preferred.
  • Collaborate with medical leadership in perioperative services by analyzing quality and financial data in order to maximize safe, cost-effective, evidence-based, rationale medication use in the operating room.

Education:

Minimum - Bachelor's degree in pharmacy

Preferred -

  • Pharm D degree
  • Master's degree in pharmacy administration, healthcare administration, business or other relevant subject area

Work Experience:

Minimum - Completion of an ASHP PGY2 pharmacy residency in health-system pharmacy administration or five (5) years of relevant work experience.

Preferred - Completion of an ASHP PGY2 pharmacy residency in health-system pharmacy administration or five (5) years of relevant work experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Licensed as a pharmacist in Wisconsin or must obtain within 90 days of hire date

Preferred - Certification through the appropriate certifying program (Board of Pharmacy Specialties, National Board of Nutrition Support Certification, National Certification Board for Anticoagulation Providers, Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board, etc.).
