Job Description

Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, Wis., is seeking an Interventional Pain Medicine physician to join the Pain Medicine Department. Your practice will be a mix of outpatient clinic and interventional procedures. Pain Medicine is located within the division of Neurosciences at Gundersen, and includes collaboration with Physical Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Neuropsychology. Call responsibilities are minimal, offering a great work/life balance.

  • The preferred candidate will be Pain Fellowship trained and BC/BE in Anesthesiology or PM&R.Expertise in fluoroscopically guided spine procedures, radiofrequency and interventional modalities to include work with implantable devices such as spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal delivery systems are required.
  • Enjoy a full spectrum of Pain Medicine practice that utilizes the latest technology in a newly renovated clinic and procedural suites
  • You will join 4 physicians and 4 advanced practice clinicians on the Pain Medicine team

Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the area of medicine stated. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
