Job Description
Duties:
- Satisfy customer needs by using presses to print high quality, customized products according to individual and customer specifications
- Improve production efficiency by ensuring that tasks are completed within estimated time frames and budgets, working overtime if necessary
- Control waste, spoilage, and printing errors by reviewing jobs for correctness prior to make ready, performing ongoing quality checks during production runs, and checking printed work for accuracy
- Minimize errors and flaws in the overall production process by communicating job details with other associates and performing routing maintenance checks.
- Previous experience in the operation of a high-speed, 2-color printing press required.
- Basic math skills
- Willingness to work overtime, when necessary
- Visual acuity in color and depth perception
- Ability to read English and comprehend job work orders and other job-essential materials
- Ability to recognize and deal with priorities, rush work, and problem situations
