PRODUCTION PLANNER – SCHEDULER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and schedule sales orders for production based upon current capacity and component lead times using the scheduling module in Epicor.
  • Work with sales and operations to analyze, maintain, and propose lead times.
  • Track bill of material components to ensure timely release of production orders.
  • Assist purchasing team with identifying material shortages affecting scheduling commitments.
  • Maintain the capacity planning tool in Epicor and update accordingly with changes in capacity due to labor availability, skill diversity, and production load.
  • Utilize the master production schedule in Epicor to maximize flexibility while minimizing working capital.
  • Analyze inventory levels monthly to identify constraints or slow-moving inventory.
  • Develop and maintain tools in the system for what-if lead time scenarios for our custom designed products

QUALFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain, planning and forecasting in manufacturing for industrial equipment in a make to order environment
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Epicor 10.
  • Understanding of MRP logic, scheduling, and bill of material structure
  • Knowledge of: make to order, make to stock & configure to order planning
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced, deadlines environment
  • APICS certification preferred.
