Breezy Hill Nursery originally started in 1978 as a design-build landscape firm among three friends known as Fine Design Landscaping. After one year, Jerry Epping became the sole proprietor of the firm, moved to the current location on highway 50, occupying the north side of the road, and renamed the company Breezy Hill Nursery. Originally Breezy Hill Nursery consisted of approximately 80 acres to supply plants for Jerry's landscape jobs. In 1987 mass producing in fields would start to take shape and a year later when Highway 50 was made a divided highway, Jerry purchased an establishment known as the Hooker Lake Inn, (currently the barn which houses our landscape offices) on the south side of highway 50. In 1990 a storage yard was started for all of the plants and materials they needed for installing their landscape jobs and soon developed into the current retail/wholesale sales yard. In 1998 Jerry purchased the gravel pit south of the retail yard which serves as a container nursery stock facility.

Today, Breezy Hill Nursery has grown to approximately 600 acres of land with over 13,000 rows of inventory, and provides employment to over 250 employees annually. Breezy Hill Nursey, Inc. consists of three major divisions, including Landscaping, Wholesale Nursery & Landscape Supply, and a Retail Garden Center. In addition, our Landscape division offers other services including, Landscape Maintenance, Irrigation System Maintenance, and Snow Removal. In 2007, Landscape operations began from an Oconomowoc, WI location, and in 2008 we will begin shipping nursery stock directly from our Clinton, WI farm. In 2010 , Jerry purchased property in Menomonee Falls, WI and established a satellite wholesale/ retail business of operation as of April 1st 2011. Nursery stock, bulk hard goods , delivery and installation as well as full design build landscape services are offered at our Menomonee Falls location as well as our Salem location.
