Thrifty White Pharmacy has a long history of providing for the prescription and heath care needs of our patients. The first store was opened in Jamestown, North Dakota in 1884. There are now 93 Thrifty White locations as well as 79 independent pharmacies associated with the company's Affiliated Pharmacy Program. The company is growing and adding new stores yearly.

Pharmacy is the heart of our business. Over 90% of our total sales come from the pharmacy. Instead of pharmacy being 5-10% of a store's sales as it is in some discount and grocery store operations, pharmacy is our reason for opening the doors in the morning. We support our pharmacists with some of the best technology in the industry.
Thrifty White pharmacists are never more than a phone call away from help. We have a dedicated support team including pharmacists dedicated to helping in all areas of pharmacy and store operations. There are specialists available to help train new pharmacists and technicians in your store, help set up a new nursing home, answer computer software issues, re-bill rejected insurance claims, assist you with operational functions of your pharmacy and schedule relief pharmacist help for vacations.

Thrifty White has developed a niche that helps the company stay strong in these days of change in the profession. In many communities we are the only traditional pharmacy. Our competitors are often the big discount chains and grocery stores on the edge of town that have a pharmacy to draw traffic to the rest of the store. In addition, we have developed a substantial business serving the medication needs of Long Term Care patients.
