The North Central MSDC (NCMSDC) is one of 23 regional councils of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), the nation’s leading organization for minority business development. The NMSDC and its regional councils serve as a direct link between corporate America and minority owned businesses.There are 1,750 corporate members throughout the network, including most of America’s largest publicly owned, privately owned and foreign owned companies, as well as universities, hospitals and other buying institutions. The regional councils certify and match more than 12,000 minority owned businesses with member corporations that want to purchase goods and services. Most of America’s largest and most successful MBEs are counted among NMSDC’s 12,000 certified minority suppliers. The NCMSDC services Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, with offices in Minneapolis and Milwaukee.

VISION:

The North Central Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC) endeavors to become the ultimate link between corporations and minority-owned businesses with four major objectives:

• To increase the dollar amount of purchasing from certified minority vendors by corporations while assisting Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) in the creation of markets for their products and services.
• To promote the awareness of minority vendors and their capabilities in the business community while exchanging information on corporate purchasing programs.
• To increase the number of minority businesses capable of supplying corporate buying needs and maintaining a database of MBEs for the use of corporate members.
• To encourage the cooperation of the business community in the purchase of products and services of MBEs by developing and conducting special programs to facilitate business relationships between such suppliers and corporate purchasing representatives.
