Company Overview
Perfect Timing, Inc. is formerly known as Lang Holdings, Inc. The company is owned by Sun Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm with a focus on purchasing market-leading companies, and Catterton Partners, a private equity firm with an exclusive focus on consumer companies. The Lang Companies was founded in Delafield, Wisconsin in 1982 by Robert A. Lang. The Lang Companies developed and marketed a wide range of high-quality calendars, cards and home décor products based around exceptional Americana and folk-oriented art that became synonymous with the company. The Lang Companies marketed its products under a variety of brands, including LANG and Main Street Press. Lang Holdings then expanded its market footprint in May 2006 when it acquired Avalanche Publishing, Inc., a Cypress, California-based publisher of quality calendars and specialty products. Avalanche is well-known for pioneering unique calendar formats and organizing products, including the top-selling Plan-it® and Note Nook® planning products. In November 2006, Lang Holdings completed an asset acquisition of Turner Licensing. Based in Modesto, California, Turner Licensing is a leader in licensed sports calendars and gifts, including major sports leagues such as the National Football League, National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association as well as related player associations and a number of major universities and colleges. Lang Holdings restructured its corporate operations in late 2009 to form what is now Perfect Timing, Inc. Today, Perfect Timing offers the marketplace the synergies of its combined brands, delivering outstanding quality, unique formats and exclusive products for the calendar, gifts, back-to-school and stationery industries.
