Who are The Interstate Companies?

The Interstate Companies is a group of eight Whole Blood centers, twenty-two Plasmapheresis centers and a laboratory which provide human blood and/or blood components to the therapeutic and diagnostic industries. Anchored by our founding corporation Interstate Blood Bank, Inc. our affiliates include:

• Bio-Blood Components, Inc.
• Interstate Biologic Services, LLC
• Plasma Biological Services, LLC

The Interstate Companies have been in the Whole Blood and/or Plasmapheresis business since 1949. We have locations in thirteen states with our Corporate Headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee.

The Interstate Companies was one of the founding firms of American Blood Resources Association (ABRA), now Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA), which is our industry trade association. At least one of our corporate officers has served on its board of directors since its inception in 1971.

Our customer base consists of leading manufacturers and innovators of research and development in the medical and scientific industries, not only on a national level, but in the international market as well. We are licensed and audited by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Each of our plasmapheresis centers are iQPP (International Quality Plasma Program) certified.
