Company Overview
The School District of New Berlin prides itself on "Expecting Excellence" with our inspiring students, outstanding educators and support staff, and supportive community. All of these attributes make our schools extremely successful.

As a District, we "Exceed Expectations" according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. All of our schools "Exceed" or "Significantly Exceed Expectations." Please read more on our School Performance webpage or in our 2014 Annual Report.

Our school district operates as a Professional Learning Community - where we put student needs above all else. We have four Strategic Goals which focus on improving student achievement to ensure all students are college and career ready; recruiting, retaining and recognizing our high quality staff; being fiscally responsible  to honor the investment of our community members; and creating mutually beneficial partnerships to help our students succeed.

We have many points of pride in academics, athletics, the arts and community service. Our high schools consistently are ranked among the best in the nation by news organizations like Newseek and the Washington Post.

The School District of New Berlin is located in southeastern Wisconsin in Waukesha County approximately 20 miles from downtown Milwaukee. We currently serve approximately 4750 students with 4 elementary (K-6) schools and 2 middle/high (7-12) schools. These six buildings are well-resourced facilities and staffed by highly qualified, talented staff.  Each building is supported by a Literacy Coach and a Numeracy Coach and in addition, the two 7-12 schools are supported by Content Coaches.

Our mission is to empower, inspire and support students in acquiring the knowledge, skills and dispositions to establish goals for their future and develop plans to achieve them. Our vision will prepare all students to succeed in a diverse, change-oriented, global society by fostering a learning environment in which our public schools, families, post-secondary partners, public officials, businesses, community organizations and other citizens work collaboratively.
