Innovation: an example
Two full brothers have exactly the same pedigree index. A hair sample is taken from both bulls. At the base of the hair is the root or follicle. The DNA material within the root is analysed to determine which characteristics those full brothers have inherited from their sire and dam. Based on the results CRV will choose the full brother who has the most favourable combination of genes.
