Why call it Aardvark Wine Lounge?

An aardvark is an animal from my native country, South Africa and the word "Aardvark" is from a local language called "Afrikaans", my mother tongue. In South Africa I tasted many great wines and it is where my passion for wine started.  From there I have traveled to many great wine producing parts of the world, such as France, the United States and Israel for the love and enjoyment of wine. 

My passion began to translate into a business idea when my husband, previously a US diplomat, and I decided to settle down with our family in his hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Knowing there were so many great South African wines that had to be shared, I felt that starting a wine lounge would be the perfect opportunity to do so and also a dream come true for me.
