Our public areas and guest rooms have been refurbished in warm, comforting tones and with accents of art deco finishes. The Plaza offers extended stay rates as well as single night accommodations.

The Plaza has been a fixture on Milwaukee’s eclectic lower east side since the roaring 20′s. This art deco gem has been thoughtfully renovated to restore many of the stunning original architectural details while providing for the modern amenities and the latest technology today’s traveler demands.

Originally constructed as two buildings in 1925 by architect George W. Adams, the Plaza is a four story red brick and steel apartment hotel. The first story is faced in gray stone and the remaining stories are red brick with stone trimmings.

The Café at the Plaza was originally a tea room where lady residents entertained guests. In the 1940′s the present counter was installed and Cafe at the Plaza was born. To this day it remains a local treasure.
