Job Description
We are looking for a hands on mechanically & electrically skilled individual with management and leadership experience. This role is responsible for overseeing a manufacturing and production team of roughly 25 people across 5 departments.
Familiarity with machine building, print reading, mechanical and electrical assembly work, maintenance, team building, safety and quality are a priority. 

Key Responsibilities
•    Manage day-to-day production operations to ensure efficient utilization of resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
•    Lead the selection and training of manufacturing staff, set performance expectations, and provide regular coaching and feedback.
•    Directly utilizing personal manufacturing knowledge and experience with tools and equipment to assist with training and production needs. 

•    Oversee production planning and execution to enhance quality and productivity.
•    Control manufacturing-related costs, ensuring operations run within budget.
•    Develop and assess new methods and procedures to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
•    Develop and maintain safety and quality programs, enforce company policies, conducting regular safety training sessions and leading plant staff and safety meetings.
•    Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures across the department.
•    Oversee preventative maintenance planning for operational equipment and facilities, driving continuous improvements.
•    Facilitate clear and efficient communication within plant personnel.

Requirements
•    Previous management experience in a fast-paced, low-volume, high-variability manufacturing setting, preferably at a manager level.
•    Minimum of five years' experience in a Production Management role within a manufacturing environment.
•    Experience in Electrical assembly of control panels, mechanical assembly of automated equipment, CNC machining, brazing, metal fabrication and production planning is a plus.
•    Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) and ERP software.
•    Strong leadership skills with a focus on employee development.
•    Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
