Interview or Inter-View
Share
Uh-oh, time is drawing close to the dreaded interview! The palms are already sweaty and the interview is still a whole day away.

It's human nature to feel this way. You really don't know what to expect, even though you've prepared in many ways. You pace back and forth about the questions you might be asked and you bite your nails over the way you might respond.

If you are experiencing any or all of these symptoms leading up to your interview, then it's time to start thinking about the event in a different light. You have already made a first impression of your skills via your resume - otherwise, you wouldn't have been invited for the interview. Now it's time to simply relax and build rapport with the interviewer(s).

Try thinking of the interview time together in these terms - inter and view. Inter is a prefix meaning between, mutually or together. View means the way of seeing something or an opinion.

As you sit down to this discussion between two people - yes, the interview - remember that the way the interviewer interacts with you and your opinion of them will help you decide if you even want to work there. It is a two-way street!
